The JBL Club 1200SSL is a powerful 12-inch active subwoofer in a sealed enclosure. Featuring a built-in 400-watt RMS Class D amplifier and a frequency response of up to 400 Hz, this subwoofer delivers deep, controlled bass. Thanks to its compact design and included bass remote, the Club 1200SSL is easy to install and adjust from the driver’s seat.
The JBL Club 1200SSL delivers sovereign deep bass from a particularly flat, robust housing. The down-firing design radiates downwards, protects the driver in everyday life and makes acoustically efficient use of the boot. A precisely tuned passive membrane expands draft and keeps impulses tight – ideal if you're looking for deep, drone-free bass at low installation height. The 300 mm aluminium driver works in a dense MDF housing with durable black carpet cover; removable feet and stable steel clips facilitate assembly and ensure a firm stand. With 2-ohm impedance, the 1200SSL can be efficiently driven by suitable mono end steps. The practical tuning allows a clean connection to the front system: noticeable punch, pre-shaped kick drums and more foundation – at moderate volume and at higher levels.
Down-Firing connects the subwoofer to the trunk surface: The bass distributes more evenly, the driver remains protected, and luggage does not come into contact with the membrane. The passive membrane deepens the tuning, without the need for a large case or a loud port. Result: defined sub-bass with clear contours, stable level and audible fewer noises. Kick drums come dry, 808 lines remain controlled – ideal for vehicles with low installation height.
The 12-inch aluminium membrane driver combines rigidity and low weight – the basis for fast transients and precise stroke. Combined with 2 ohms, the 1200SSL efficiently demands the performance of a matching mono amp and keeps thermal through thanks to the large voice coil. 400 W RMS delivers reliable pressure in everyday life, peaks up to approx. 1200 W gives the dynamics reserves without losing control.
The dense MDF housing is designed for stability and acoustic tranquility. The flat construction height makes it easier to place on the backrest of the rear seat or on the back wall, the carpet cover protects against scratches. Removable feet and steel clips ensure a secure stand and a clean installation in few steps. This keeps the charging surface usable – while the subwoofer delivers reliably, which is missing: deep, controlled JBL bass.
