Electra EV Blue 5.0 is a lightweight sound insulation material for electric vehicles. It utilizes AeroSphereReinforced mastic, a technology that combines high damping with low weight. This material is specifically designed to improve sound insulation without placing additional stress on the vehicle. Electra EV Blue 5.0 has a mechanical loss factor between 0.35 and 0.8, depending on the thickness. Its density ranges from 0.75 to 0.9 g/cm³, and its adhesion strength exceeds 9.5 N/cm. The material remains effective over a wide temperature range, from -40 to +90 degrees Celsius, with a peak resistance of up to 150 degrees. The product contains no bitumen, is odorless, and leaves no residue on hands during installation. Thanks to the special 100-micrometer film, the print remains intact, even when rolled out. Electra EV Blue 5.0 is suitable for application on roofs, doors, trunks, and hoods without additional insulation layers. The EV9.0 variant has an additional sound-insulating membrane and is suitable for floors and wheel arches. Despite this additional layer, the material remains lighter than water. For optimal installation, the material should be applied to a clean, dry surface. It adheres best at temperatures between 18 and 35 degrees Celsius. Storage is recommended at temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius, away from moisture or oil.
