The DCR design with 2 Ohm output power utilizes the power of the amplifier or head unit. This enables the patented Plus One woofer to deliver high output power and deep bass reproduction. OEM tests confirm reliability, even at high volume.
The ventilated basket design with stable slots cools the voice coils and increases reliability. This design dissipates heat from the drive structure as the membrane moves. This results in less distortion at high volume levels, longer speaker life and higher load capacity.
JBL tunes the frequency response of the speakers to the JBL sound signature. This is part of the development process to support the listening experience.

The Stage3 527 coaxial JBL speakers bring JBL Pro Sound to your vehicle. They are efficient and powerful for the car audio system. The car speakers are designed for clear, resonant sound quality for even and smooth audio reproduction. This ensures pure sound reproduction.
The Plus One technology offers a 35% larger cone surface, which increases efficiency by 2 dB. This results in an improved reproduction of low frequencies and a clear musical character.
The woofer is paired with a PEI-balanced dome tweeter for clear high frequencies. Thanks to these tweeters, the speakers deliver smooth and clear highs with a wide beam behavior.
Sturdy ventilated baskets cool the voice coils. This reduces distortion at high output levels, longer speaker life and higher load capacity.
Stage3 speakers are subjected to testing to withstand the conditions inside the car. JBL exposes the speakers to cold, heat, shock and ultraviolet light and tests them for a long time at full power.
